Objectives

Activities

  1. Projects
    • Upgradation of the laboratory facilities.
    • Research work “Radon exhalation and radiological impact of building material containing fly ash.”
    • Design and Development of a 15 KV, 10mA Power Supply for Neutron Generator of INST.
    • Design and Development of versatile PIC Micro-controller Programmer.
    • Conversion the analog display to digital display system.
  2. Services
    • Repair the dose calibrator of RIPD, INST

Achievements

  1. Refurbishment of a soft incubator.
  2. Refurbishment of a temperature controlled shaking water bath.
  3. Design & development nuclear pulser to check the nuclear data acquisition system.
  4. Design and development of digital panel meter.
  5. Design and development of a non contact liquid level controller
  6. Design and development of a programmable electronic timer.
  7. Repair a data logger of NMU, AERE.
  8. Repair an inductive coupled plasma (ICP) of chemistry division, Atomic Energy Center (AEC), Dhaka.
  9. Repair a water bath for NRCD, INST, AERE.
  10. Installation of Reocale programmable viscometer of NRCD, INST, AERE.
  11. Design and develop an environment monitoring system
  12. Completed the industrial attachment training of B. Sc. level students of IUT and JU.
  13. Supervise/guide the Master degree theses work on “Design and development of environmental monitoring system using microcontroller” of a student of Dhaka University.
  14. Supervise/guide the Master degree theses work on “Position Detection using Microcontroller and Stepper Motor” of a student of Jahangirnagar University.

Major Facilities

  1. Nuclear counting system, MCA, NIM BIN module, Scintillation processor, Scintillation detector.
  2. Oscilloscope, Function generator, DC power supplies, Digital multimeters, necessary tools for electronic works.
  3. Broadband Internet.

Note: All necessary instruments are kept in IE store and when necessity arise, those are borrowed from the store for use.
